I became interested in the healthcare field as an adolescent. I took care of my disabled father and would shadow his VNA nurse, so I could provide him with the best care. After my dad passed away I became a C.N.A. and H.H.A. it provided me with so much joy and compassion to take care of individuals in their own home setting and help them maintain as much independence as possible. I have worked with people with many types of disabilities and have gained so much insight and wisdom from each and every person I have worked with over the years. After many years, and a back injury, I decided to make a career move and apply as a Skills Trainer at AdLib in 2015. It was very interesting to see the other side of provided care. I have met some wonderful people over the years and have enjoyed working with them to remain independent at home.
