Emergency Preparedness Workshops at 11am and 1pm
Emergencies can happen at any time and with our increasing reliance on digital technologies interruptions in service can present additional challenges.
This workshop will guide participants through planning for an emergency:
- what information do you need to have written down
- what supplies are essential for an emergency kit
- how would you meet your unique needs as a person with a disability
Participants will also receive an emergency kit which includes:
- four days of storable food and water (MRE style)
- first aid kit
- hygiene kit
No sign-up necessary. Please arrive 5 minutes before start time. If you are unable to attend but interested in the information please contact Valerie Pease at vpease@adlibcil.org
PCA Workforce Council Onsite 10am-3pm
The PCA Workforce Council promotes a quality PCA workforce through its work with consumers and PCAs. They have many tools for consumers to advertise their positions and support Consumer-PCA connections through the PCA Directory. Please stop by on Monday April 14th to speak with the council, sign-up for the PCA directory, post your open positions, and learn about other tools they have.
Tempus Unlimited Monthly EVV Training
To support the transition to Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Tempus is holding monthly in-person trainings at AdLib. This month’s trainings will be on Monday April 14th. Please sign up via the Tempus website: Register for In-Person or Virtual Training – Tempus Unlimited and Tempus will call to ensure that you are prepared for the training.
1199 SEIU Union Onsite
The 1199 SEIU represents the healthcare workforce in Massachusetts—including PCAs. The union has been traveling to agencies throughout MA to distribute gloves and masks to PCAs. They will be onsite at AdLib on Monday April 14th. Please note this distribution is coordinated by the union and AdLib is not holding items. Please have your PCA contact the union with any questions.
