Services provided by AdLib empower people with disabilities to make their own decisions and achieve a greater level of independence. We provide the following core services:

Information and Referral

Information and Referral is provided to consumers who request information about issues and services. 

Advocacy

Advocacy is provided for consumers on any issue important to them and that affects their independent living.

Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling helps consumers resolve problems through the understanding, caring, and common experience of another person with a disability.

Skills Training

Skills Training helps the consumer develop those skills necessary to achieve or enhance an independent life style.

Transition Services

Transition Services help consumers move to community living by providing individualized assistance in areas such as housing, access, independent living skills, employment, and education.

Personal Care Attendant Program

Join Our Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program

Our Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program allows eligible individuals to hire personal care attendants to help them do the things they can’t do for themselves.

About AdLib

AdLib, Inc. is a private, non-profit, community based, consumer controlled Independent Living Center. The Center provides independent living and specialized services for people with disabilities in Berkshire County. AdLib empowers people with disabilities to live more independently and have control of their own lives.

A majority of AdLib’s Board of Directors and employees are people with disabilities. This characteristic is at the heart of the independent living movement and distinguishes us from other providers in Berkshire County.
